Dear Friends and Partners of the Jariyah Foundation Inc.,
Eid Mubarak! As we approach the blessed days of Eid al-Adha, we reflect on the spirit of
sacrifice, gratitude, and service that defines this sacred occasion — values that are at the very
heart of the Jariyah Foundation’s mission. May Allah accept our deeds, bless our families and
communities, and continue to open doors of goodness for all those we serve. Taqabbal Allahu
Minna wa Minkum.
On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to share an important announcement regarding a transition
in our organizational leadership, effective immediately.
Dr. Rohany Nayan, who has served with great distinction as Chief Executive Officer of the
Jariyah Foundation Inc., will be transitioning into the role of Director of Education. In this
capacity, she will lead the design and implementation of the Foundation’s educational programs,
in full alignment with our mission and strategic vision.
The Board wishes to formally recognize and express its deepest gratitude for Dr. Rohany’s
exemplary service as CEO. Under her leadership, the Foundation has grown significantly in both
scope and impact — strengthening its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and
promoting dignity, health, and self-sufficiency around the world. Her contributions have been
immeasurable, and her legacy of dedicated service will continue to inspire and guide our work
for years to come.
Succeeding Dr. Rohany as Chief Executive Officer is Sr. Rayda Edding, Co-Founder of the
Jariyah Foundation and our former Fundraising Director. Sr. Rayda brings a distinguished record
of humanitarian work, business leadership, and community engagement to this role. A dedicated
student of Islamic knowledge and an active participant in Da’wah and Islamic education, she has
supported multiple non-profit organizations and served communities across more than 56 countries.
Her wealth of experience and deep alignment with the Foundation’s values position her
exceptionally well to lead Jariyah in fulfilling its mission and expanding its global impact.
We invite all of our stakeholders to join us in expressing heartfelt gratitude for Dr. Rohany’s
visionary leadership, and in extending a warm and joyful welcome to Sr. Rayda as she steps into
this new responsibility, may Allah bless them both and grant the Foundation continued success
in its work.
